Marvel's animated Spider-Man series, Your Friendly Neighborhood Spider-Man, receives early renewals for seasons two and three. Production is already underway, with Season 2 scripts complete and half the storyboards finished, according to Marvel Studios' Brad Winderbaum.
In an interview with The Movie Podcast, Winderbaum expressed his enthusiasm for the series and the characters. He revealed that Season 2 scripts are finalized, and animatics are approximately 50% complete, even before the Season 1 premiere on January 29th. The greenlight for Season 3 has also been given.
Winderbaum highlighted the show's character development, stating that the payoff from the groundwork laid in Season 1 will be increasingly evident in subsequent seasons. He mentioned upcoming meetings with lead writer and executive producer Jeff Trammell to discuss the pitch for Season 3. However, release dates for either Season 2 or 3 remain unannounced.
