This major update draws inspiration from Marvel's "Dark Reign" storyline, the sequel to "Civil War," where Norman Osborn seizes control of S.H.I.E.L.D.'s remnants (renamed H.A.M.M.E.R.) and assembles his own twisted Avengers.
