Optimizing Stats for Tera Raids and Ranked Battles in Pokémon Scarlet & Violet
Whether you're conquering Tera Raid battles or climbing the ranked ladder in Pokémon Scarlet & Violet, efficient Effort Value (EV) training is key. Simply leveling up through random encounters will result in suboptimal stats. This guide focuses on maximizing Attack EVs.
Top Locations for Attack EV Farming
North Province (Area Two) – Near the Pokémon Center

This area, near Team Star's Fighting Crew base, is a long-standing community favorite for EV training. The abundance of Pokémon yielding Attack EVs, such as Lokix, Scyther, Bisharp, Heracross, Dratini, and Ursaring, makes it highly efficient. Note that some Pokémon, like Falinks, offer mixed EV gains, so focus on pure Attack EV sources for optimal damage output.
Porto Marinada's Eastern Edge

For precise EV control, the eastern outskirts of Porto Marinada offer consistent gains. Groups of Paldean Tauros yield 2 Attack EVs each, boosted to 10 with a Power Bracer. This allows for quick accumulation and precise EV adjustment by removing the Power Bracer later.
Power Bracer: Your EV Training Ally
The Power Bracer, purchased at Delibird Presents in Mesagoza, Levincia, and Cascarrafa for 10,000 Poké Dollars, significantly accelerates EV training. It adds +8 to the Attack EVs gained from each defeated Pokémon.

Mass outbreaks can further enhance EV gains. However, consistently reliable options include:
Flamigo

Found near lakes and swamps, Flamigo appear at various levels, making them suitable for early-game training. Locations include southeastern South Province lakes and Casseroya Watchtower No. 1 (higher-level Flamigo). Avoid level 9-20 Flamigo, which may possess the "Detect" ability.
Paldean Tauros

These Pokémon, often found in groups, are readily available in central-western and central-eastern regions. Hunting them south of Levincia is recommended for efficiency. Be aware that some possess the "Intimidate" ability.
EV Training Recommendations

Both Flamigo and Paldean Tauros are ideal due to their frequent appearances and 2 base Attack EVs (10 with Power Bracer). Only 26 battles are needed to reach the 252 EV cap per stat. Avoid Kantonian Tauros, which only yield 1 Attack EV.
Use a "Tropical Sandwich" from Every Wich Way for the "Encounter Power: Fighting Lv. 1" bonus to increase encounter rates.

Kelpsy Berries, while reducing EVs, are invaluable for fine-tuning your Pokémon's stats if you accidentally overshoot the 252 cap.

Efficient EV training requires patience and strategic choices. Prioritize the recommended locations, utilize the Power Bracer, and choose Pokémon wisely to maximize your EV gains and achieve optimal stat distributions.
