The final day of the Six Invitational is always a big day for Ubisoft and Rainbow Six Siege announcements, and this year was no exception. A highlight was the reveal of Rauora, the newest Attack operator hailing from New Zealand.
Rauora's unique ability is the DOM launcher, a deployable bulletproof shield designed specifically for doorways. While resistant to bullets, it's vulnerable to explosives. The DOM launcher features a trigger mechanism that can be activated by anyone, but the opening speed varies: one second for attackers, and a significantly longer three seconds for defenders. This time difference could prove critical, especially when the defuser is planted.

Adding to the excitement, Rauora introduces the Reaper MK2, a new fully automatic pistol equipped with a red dot sight and an extended magazine. Players can also choose between the M249 LMG or the 417 marksman rifle as alternative primary weapons.
Rauora will be playable on the test servers starting next week, with a later release date for the live game.
