This classic game, "Sea Battle," pits two players against each other in a battle of wits and strategy. Players take turns targeting coordinates on their opponent's hidden grid. Hitting an opponent's ship (or a part of it) results in a "hit," and allows the player to take another turn. The objective: sink all your opponent's ships before they sink yours!
The game board is a standard 10x10 grid for each player, hosting the following fleet:
- One 4-cell battleship
- Two 3-cell cruisers
- Three 2-cell destroyers
- Four 1-cell torpedo boats
Ships cannot be placed adjacent to each other, either horizontally or diagonally. Alongside your own grid is an opponent's grid, initially empty, representing the sea where enemy vessels are concealed. Hits are marked with an "X," misses with a dot (.). The player who scores a hit gets to shoot again. Victory goes to the first player to sink all 10 of their opponent's ships.
