You'll first encounter Rompopolo in Chapter 2 during Mission 2-1: Toward Fervent Fields. As you journey through the Oilwell Basin region towards Azuz City, Rompopolo will make its dramatic entrance, and you must defeat it to progress further in the game.
Once you've defeated Rompopolo at least once, its entry will be added to your Large Monster Field Guide. You can then engage it multiple times either by exploring the Oilwell Basin or by starting the "Oilwell Basin Blast" Optional Quest from your Tent.
How to Beat and Capture Rompopolo in Monster Hunter Wilds
