With the rollout of Dead Island 2 Patch 6, the game adds horror-tastic game modes, including the new Neighbourhood Watch horde mode, as well as new bundles added to Dead Island 2 Ultimate Edition.
Dead Island 2 Update Rolls Out New Zombie Slaying ModesWelcome the Revenants in Dead Island 2
Dead Island 2 has recently rolled Update Patch 6, adding New Game Plus (NG ) mode that will let you replay the entire game at a higher difficulty level, with your inventory intact. Moreover, you will still get to play your leveled up character, as well as have three additional skill slots, increased level cap, new weapons and skins, and of course, new enemies.
The new zombie type is being called the Revenants–more powerful variants of Apex zombies that have new behaviors and tweaked capabilities "that make them deliberately hard to slay." "This combined with the changes from New Game Plus are going to push the challenge all the way up to 11," the devs said in its announcement blog, adding that if players want a challenge, the’ll sure "find it."
Meanwhile, to aid you in the zombie-slaying on NG , every weapon that gets rolled out will be more powerful than those in the main game, with more fixed-rarity weapons to collect and wield, confirmed the devs. In addition, the update adds the new Neighbourhood Watch horde mode, a cross between a horde mode and tower defense, wherein the objective would be to defend your home base. Each run of Neighborhood Watch lasts five days where you'll spend the first four days defending your base, killing off hordes of enemies on top of completing objectives to attain gear that you need.
