The highly anticipated Blox Fruits Dragon Update is finally on the horizon, almost a year after its initial planned release! Details regarding the release date, significant reworks, and more are revealed below.
A Glimpse into the Dragon Update's Features
The Dragon Update boasts a substantial visual upgrade. Expect revamped graphics across the board, from islands and character models to animations. The improvements are substantial!
Several Third Sea islands have undergone complete makeovers, including texture and building changes, new structures, and updated models. These reworked islands include:
- Port Town
- Great Tree
- Hydra Island
Addressing player concerns about performance on mobile and consoles, the update includes crucial performance optimizations. Leveraging new Roblox performance tools, the developers aim to ensure a smoother, lag-free experience for all players, regardless of their device.
Gameplay enhancements are also included. The NPC quest indicator has received a visual refresh, and NPCs now feature idle animations. Chests have undergone a visual overhaul, complete with new animations for interaction.
Combat has also seen improvements. Guns are now visibly equipped on the player character, and all guns have received both visual and gameplay enhancements. Mobs now display knockback and stun animations, and successful hits are clearly indicated by a red glow on the enemy (mirroring the player's effect when hit). Observation has also been updated with visual and sound improvements.
A new Ability HUD is a welcome addition, clearly displaying ability cooldowns – a much-needed improvement for players who rely on visual cues.
