Albion Online's Rogue Frontier Update: Smugglers, New Weapons, and More!
Sandbox Interactive's medieval MMORPG, Albion Online, is getting a major update on February 3rd – Rogue Frontier! This first major update of the year introduces exciting new content centered around a rebel faction: The Smugglers.
Outland Adventures
Tired of the Royal Continent's strict rules? The Smugglers are rebels making their stand in the lawless Outlands. They operate from hidden underground hideouts called Smuggler's Dens, which serve as crucial hubs for banking, repairs, and expedition planning. These dens are interconnected through the Smuggler's Network, a sophisticated marketplace system spanning the Outlands.
Players can actively participate in the Smugglers' ongoing conflict with the Royal Guards. Help rescue captured Smugglers or deliver contraband within Smuggler Crates to earn rewards and contribute to the faction's cause.
Rewards for Loyalty
Show your loyalty to the Smugglers, and Maggy Slade, a mysterious trader in the dens, will reward you handsomely. Earn the Smuggler's Vanity Set, a Smuggler's Cape (with a unique potion cooldown reduction ability), a Smuggler's Ring, and a new avatar.
New additions in Rogue Frontier include Kill Trophies, dropped by defeated players. The richer the defeated player's loot, the higher your chance of obtaining a trophy.
Powerful New Weapons
Rogue Frontier also introduces stylish and powerful new weapons:
- Rotcaller Staff: Summon a creeping mist to repel enemies.
- Skystrider Bow: Levitate and unleash devastating ranged attacks from above.
- Forcepulse Bracers: Send shockwaves through foes with every dash attack.
