Botany Manor's PlayStation Release Finally Set for January 28th
Highly-acclaimed puzzle game Botany Manor will finally arrive on PlayStation consoles on January 28th. Initially slated for a December 17th, 2024 release, the PS4 and PS5 versions were delayed to allow for further refinement and polish.
Originally launched in April 2024 for Nintendo Switch, Xbox One, Xbox Series X/S, and PC, Botany Manor received widespread critical praise, solidifying its place as a top-tier puzzle game of the year. The PlayStation port, announced by publisher Whitethorn Games, faced a setback just days before its initial December release date. The delay, explained as a commitment to delivering the best possible player experience, initially left a new release date uncertain.
However, on January 9th, Whitethorn Games confirmed the January 28th launch date for both PS4 and PS5. While the game is now confirmed, a PlayStation Store page remains absent, meaning pre-ordering or wishlisting isn't yet possible.
The PlayStation version is expected to be priced at $24.99, consistent with other platforms, and will remain a one-time purchase free of microtransactions. Unlike the Steam version, which offers a separate digital soundtrack, this add-on is unlikely to be available on the PlayStation Store.
Expanding PlayStation's Puzzle Game Lineup
Botany Manor's strong reception, boasting an impressive 83/100 average score and a 92% recommendation rate on OpenCritic, highlights its charming atmosphere, intricate puzzles, and rewarding exploration. Its arrival on PlayStation is poised to significantly enhance the platform's already impressive collection of puzzle games.
With the PlayStation release, Botany Manor will be available on all initially planned platforms. Developer Balloon Studios has yet to announce their next project. Joining Botany Manor on the PlayStation Store on January 28th are Cuisineer, Eternal Strands, and The Scion of Madness.
