"Days Gone Remastered: Now with Adjustable Game Speed"

Author : Savannah Apr 28,2025

The highly anticipated Days Gone Remastered is approaching its release date, and Sony's Bend Studio has shared exciting details about the enhanced accessibility features that will be part of this updated version. One of the standout features is the ability to adjust Game Speed, which can be slowed down to 75%, 50%, or even 25% of normal speed. This feature is designed to help players who may find high-pressure scenarios challenging, as explained by Kevin McAllister, Bend Studio's Creative & Product Lead, in a recent PlayStation Blog post.

"Game Speed is ideal for players who might feel overwhelmed in certain situations or have difficulty with various inputs in high pressure moments, specifically fighting off hordes of Freakers," McAllister stated. With the introduction of the new Horde Assault mode in the remaster, this feature aims to make the intense combat more accessible to a broader range of players.

In addition to the Game Speed adjustment, Days Gone Remastered will include a variety of other accessibility options. Players can customize subtitle colors, enable a High Contrast Mode, utilize UI Narration, and benefit from Collectible Audio Cues. The auto-complete QTE option, previously limited to Easy difficulty, will now be available across all difficulty levels, from Easy to Survival II.

While these enhancements are set to debut in Days Gone Remastered, Bend Studio has also confirmed that most of these new accessibility features will be rolled out to the PC version of Days Gone. However, some features like feedback and control customization will require a compatible controller.

Days Gone Remastered was officially announced in February and will include additional features such as an enhanced photo mode, permadeath and speedrun options, alongside the new accessibility features. This remaster of the 2019 post-apocalyptic zombie action-adventure game, centered around a biker protagonist, is set to launch on April 25, 2025. Players who already own the PS4 version of Days Gone can upgrade to the PS5 remastered version for just $10.
