Marvel Rivals Strategist Character Tier List: A Guide to Support Heroes
Marvel Rivals boasts a diverse roster of iconic characters. While damage-dealing units often steal the spotlight, effective support characters are crucial for team survival. This tier list ranks the seven currently available support units in Marvel Rivals, focusing on their healing and buffing capabilities. While Jeff is popular, he's not the top choice.

Best Strategist in Marvel Rivals
Rank | Hero |
---|---|
S | Mantis and Luna Snow |
A | Adam Warlock and Cloak & Dagger |
B | Jeff the Land Shark, Loki, and Rocket Raccoon |
S Tier
Mantis excels as a healer, boosting ally damage by consuming orbs (which regenerate automatically; headshots instantly recover one). While fragile, her effectiveness is amplified by consistent headshots, making her suitable for both beginners and experienced players. Her damage output is limited.
Luna Snow, another top-tier strategist, offers both healing and offensive capabilities. Her Ice Art ability enhances healing and damage, and her Ultimate, Fate of Both Worlds, provides AoE healing or damage. Her ease of use and focus on positioning make her ideal for newcomers, although her damage potential remains secondary to her support role.

A Tier
Adam Warlock's standout ability is his multi-teammate revive using his Quantum Zone Ultimate. Revived allies gain temporary invincibility. He also heals with Avatar Life Stream and applies Soul Bond for damage sharing and a heal-over-time effect.
Cloak & Dagger provides versatile support. Cloak's attacks offer healing or damage, with self-healing capabilities. Dagger focuses on damage and applying Vulnerability debuffs. Dark Teleportation boosts ally movement speed and provides invisibility.
B Tier
Jeff the Land Shark, while popular, suffers from weaker healing compared to higher-tier characters, making him less effective in extended battles. His simple kit pales in comparison to Mantis and Warlock. He's a decent beginner option, however, and his Ultimate is entertaining.
Loki's effectiveness hinges on player skill and strategy. He heals allies and summons decoys, but precise decoy placement is crucial. His Ultimate allows him to shapeshift into any hero for 15 seconds, using their abilities.
Rocket Raccoon prioritizes utility and damage over pure healing, offering a revive with his Respawn Machine and significant damage potential. This hybrid DPS/support role, however, makes him squishy and requires skillful play.
Ultimately, the best support character depends on personal preference and playstyle. This tier list serves as a helpful guide, but enjoyment should be the primary factor in your character selection.
Marvel Rivals is available on PlayStation, Xbox, and PC.
