Attention all GoldenEye enthusiasts, the wait is over! IO Interactive has exciting news: their upcoming James Bond game, Project 007, is set to launch on the Nintendo Switch 2. According to IO Interactive’s website, this game will dive into a fresh narrative within the iconic Bond universe.
"Players will step into the shoes of the world's favorite Secret Agent to earn their 00 status in the very first James Bond origin story," the developers teased, setting the stage for an immersive journey into the life of the legendary spy.
In an interview with IGN back in October, IO Interactive's head, Hakan Abrak, shared his enthusiasm for crafting this new origin tale. "What's exciting about that project is that we actually got to do an original story. So it's not a gamification of a movie," he explained. Abrak highlighted the ambition to create a trilogy and introduce a new Bond tailored specifically for gamers. "It's a Bond we built from the ground up for gamers. It's extremely exciting with all the tradition and all the history there is there together to work on this together with the family of creating a young Bond for gamers; a Bond that the gamers can call their own and grow with."
