The update introduces options to manage seasonal content, including the Nier:Automata DLC. Navigate to Settings > Gameplay > Seasonal Event Content to select:

  • Auto: Automatically enables/disables based on the season.
  • Disable: Deactivates seasonal content regardless of the season.
  • Enable: Activates seasonal content regardless of the season.

Note: Changing this setting requires a game restart from your last save.

Mixed Reception: A Celebration with Concerns

Following the December 16th announcement, the update received mostly positive feedback, with many fans embracing "Christmas Eve." However, some questioned the frequency of event updates for a single-player game with a relatively short playtime (around 30 hours). The requirement to restart the game to fully enjoy seasonal content also drew criticism.

Unlike many games with seasonal content, Stellar Blade's single-player nature necessitates restarting to fully experience the updates.
