In 2022, Innersloth transformed the gaming landscape with the release of a virtual reality version of Among Us, which was met with enthusiastic praise from fans around the globe. Building on that success, the studio is now pushing the boundaries further with the announcement of Among Us 3D. This new iteration promises to deliver the beloved gameplay into a fully immersive first-person perspective, accessible without the need for a VR headset.
Players can look forward to experiencing the familiar mechanics of Among Us in a fresh, traditional gaming format. A teaser trailer has been released, providing a sneak peek into how tasks, emergency meetings, and sabotage will be experienced through the eyes of your character. Excitingly, fans will have the opportunity to dive into this new mode during Steam's upcoming "Game On" festival, where a free demo will be available for hands-on testing.
Although an official release date for Among Us 3D has not yet been disclosed, the game is set to launch initially on PC. It will be tailored for seamless keyboard and mouse control, featuring an updated user interface to improve accessibility. Additionally, cross-play functionality will enable players of Among Us 3D to connect and play with those on Among Us VR, although the original Among Us will continue to operate independently from these new versions.
To enhance the player experience even further, Innersloth is planning to introduce a new in-game currency called Stardust in the coming months. This currency will offer players expanded customization options, allowing for greater personalization of their avatars and contributing to the continuous development and evolution of the game.
