Reaching Bloodmoon Island in Divinity: Original Sin 2
Bloodmoon Island, shrouded in Deathfog and accessible only via a destroyed bridge, presents a significant challenge in Divinity: Original Sin 2. This guide outlines multiple methods to overcome this obstacle and access the island's quests and storyline advancements.
Method 1: The Spirit Bridge
The remnants of a bridge, northeast of Cloisterwood and near Jahan and Witch Alice, offer a path. Using Spirit Vision reveals the broken sections. Several approaches exist to traverse this:
-
Gloves of Teleportation: These allow teleporting each party member individually across the gaps.
-
Translocation Skills: Skills like Phoenix Dive, Cloak and Dagger, or Tactical Retreat enable teleporting, but party member skill limitations may necessitate alternative methods.
-
Teleporter Pyramids: Two pyramids are required. One companion uses translocation to cross, then the others teleport to their location.
-
Fast Travel: A companion with translocation reaches the island, unlocks the waypoint, allowing the rest to fast travel.
Method 2: The Undead Ferry
Located northwest of Cloisterwood, an undead ferryman offers passage across the Deathfog. However, this is deceptive.
-
With Fane: Only Fane, being undead and immune to Deathfog, survives the crossing. He unlocks the waypoint, enabling the rest of the party to fast travel.
-
Without Fane: This requires at least two Teleporter Pyramids. One companion takes the ferry (dying upon arrival), and the others teleport using the pyramids, resurrecting the fallen companion. This method is less efficient than using the bridge.
Avoiding Combat with the Ferryman
It's advisable to avoid attacking the Undead Ferryman, as his Deathfog spell is lethal. However, defeating him yields a Soothing Cold skillbook, a belt, and 3,750 XP. If attempting combat, save beforehand.
The bridge method generally provides the fastest route to Bloodmoon Island, especially for parties without Fane. Choose the method best suited to your party composition and resources.
