The legendary strategy series, *Age of Empires Mobile*, is expanding its horizons with the introduction of the new Mercenaries System. This exciting update allows players to harness greater control and enhance the might of their armies, adding a thrilling layer of strategy to the game.
Unlocking the Mercenary Camp at Level 26 opens up a world of possibilities. Here, players can contract and recruit formidable mercenary units, and subsequently unlock and upgrade technologies unique to these elite warriors.
Each mercenary group comes with its own set of specialized skills:
Byzantine Cataphract:
- Increase the damage of all hero skills of the army by [2%]
- After the troops inflict skill damage, all damage received by our troops is reduced by [3.5%] for [3] seconds
Swiss Pikeman:
- Increase the probability of triggering the hero’s pursuit/active skills of all troops by [1%]
- Reduce all damage received by troops by [2%]
Korean Archer:
- Increase the probability of triggering the hero’s pursuit/active skills of all troops by [1%]
- Reduce all damage received by troops by [2%]
Players can get their first taste of the Mercenaries for free by participating in a new event, which is currently live alongside the system launch.
The addition of the Mercenaries System in *Age of Empires Mobile* introduces epic "What if" scenarios, allowing players to pair their favorite legendary heroes with diverse mercenary classes.
