It's not just Gabe Newell who's known for responding to emails, but not all news is good for those who reach out. A Reddit user shared a reply they received from Epic Games CEO Tim Sweeney after emailing him with a simple question: when would Alan Wake 2 by Remedy be released on Steam?
Unfortunately for the gamer, Sweeney’s reply was short and to the point, stating categorically that the release on Steam won't happen, with no further comments. Disappointed, the user had to resort to plan B: they shared their intention to purchase the game on Xbox.

Alan Wake 2 stands out from most Epic Games Store exclusives because Epic Games not only published the horror title but also co-financed its development alongside Remedy. Remedy stated that the sales of Alan Wake 2 were in line with their business forecasts, and the studio was pleased with this collaboration. However, Remedy’s future games will be self-published, meaning they will be released on platforms like Steam as well. Despite this, more than a year after its release, the horror game has yet to turn a profit.
