Rocksteady Studios is recruiting a Game Director for its next major project, as announced in a Warner Bros. Discovery job posting on February 17th.
The successful applicant will oversee the creation of a high-quality game, encompassing all aspects of design, from core gameplay and progression to combat and mission structure. Experience in third-person action, open-world adventures, and melee combat is highly desired. This has fueled speculation about a return to the Batman franchise, the series that catapulted Rocksteady to fame. The Arkham series closely matches the listed requirements, unlike the more gun-focused Suicide Squad: Kill the Justice League.
As the hiring process is in its early stages, the game is likely still in the conceptual phase. Industry analyst Jason Schreier suggests that, should a new single-player Batman title be greenlit, it wouldn't launch for several years.
