If you're a fan of Pokémon GO, get ready for some exciting events on the horizon! Alongside the ongoing Festival of Colors and Might and Mastery events, the Catch Mastery event is set to add even more thrill to your gameplay.
Catch Mastery Brings the First Birdie for Pokémon GO!
Mark your calendars for March 16th, as the Catch Mastery event kicks off from 10:00 a.m. to 8:00 p.m. local time. This event spotlights Archen, the First Bird Pokémon, giving you a fantastic opportunity to encounter this unique creature. During the event, you'll see increased wild spawns of Omanyte and Kabuto, and there's a chance to find their Shiny versions as well.
Archen will also be available as a Field Research reward, with an enhanced chance of encountering its Shiny form. To sweeten the deal, the event offers double XP for Nice Throws or better, and additional XP for Curveball Throws, making it a perfect time to hone your catching skills.
For those looking for a challenge, the event includes Timed Research focused on catching Rock-type Pokémon. Completing up to 10 sets of tasks can reward you with a total of 40 Archen encounters, making it a must-attend for any serious Pokémon GO player.
The Mega Absol Raid Day Is Also Happening Soon
Following the Catch Mastery event, the Mega Absol Raid Day is scheduled for March 23rd, running from 2:00 p.m. to 5:00 p.m. local time. This event introduces a new Charged Attack for Absol called Brutal Swing. Once the event begins, Absol will permanently have access to this powerful move, which delivers 55 power in Trainer Battles and 65 power in gyms and raids.
To make the most of the Mega Absol Raid Day, from March 22nd at 5:00 p.m. PDT to March 23rd at 8:00 p.m. PDT, the Remote Raid Pass limit will be temporarily increased to 20. Additionally, you can obtain up to five extra free Raid Passes by spinning Gym Photo Discs, allowing you a total of six for the day.
