First announced in 2018, the Devil May Cry anime is confirmed for an eight-episode first season. Studio Mir's involvement promises a visually stunning adaptation.
While plot details remain shrouded in mystery, the series appears to focus on Dante from the era of the first three Devil May Cry games, though any direct connections to the game's canon remain unconfirmed. Interestingly, Dante will be voiced by Johnny Yong Bosch, who voices Nero in the video game franchise.
The last mainline Devil May Cry game, Devil May Cry 5, launched in 2019, marking a triumphant return for the series after a period of relative quiet following 2013's DmC: Devil May Cry. A critically acclaimed action title, Devil May Cry 5 is highly recommended, especially for fans of games like Ninja Gaiden Black 2. Read our full review here.
