Here, you'll encounter a woman in the town center, engaged in a seemingly innocuous game of hunting down origami butterflies. As you explore the city and collect these beautifully crafted paper butterflies, pinned to tree trunks amidst fluttering real butterflies, you'll uncover disturbing notes. The Butterfly Collector, it turns out, is a sinister group of women targeting children from affluent families for kidnapping, aiming to amass power and influence. Your mission? To thwart their plans and bring them to justice. There are five members of this faction to track down and confront.
How and Where To Find All Butterfly Collector Members in Assassin’s Creed Shadows
To locate the Butterfly Collector members, you'll need to follow geographical clues scattered throughout *Assassin’s Creed Shadows*. We've simplified the process by pinpointing the exact locations where you can find each member.
Shucho
Your first target, Shucho, is found in the Fishermen’s District at the southeastern tip of Osaka. Her carelessness in losing a kidnapped child provides your entry point into the group. Look for her, dressed in green, frantically searching at an intersection. Dispatch her with Naoe's blade or Yasuke's weapons, then rescue the child hiding nearby behind some horses.
Mucho
Next, head northwest across the bridge from Shucho's location to the Kojo ruins. Here, you'll find Mucho, who has been posing as a family jochu to get close to her targets. She's currently struggling with a child on the road just south of the ruins. Use the child's resistance to approach, and when Mucho attacks, take her down. Escort the child back to her mother and continue your hunt.
Richo
Richo, a young woman who blends in with higher society while speaking like a peasant, can be found near a bamboo grove in Noda Village, just across the water from the northern end of Osaka. Local gossip may lead you to her as she checks on a ransom payment. Enter the grove to find Richo, dressed in pink, and confront her, either stealthily or in combat, to save her latest victim.
Kacho
After dealing with the previous members, you'll confront Kacho, the leader of the Butterfly Collector. She's located north of the Nishinomaru Garden, west of Osaka Castle, in a restricted zone. Be cautious as you approach, and when you see the telltale fluttering of butterflies, you're close. Engage Kacho in conversation, then prepare for a lethal confrontation. Her death will reveal the final member you must address.
Gamemaker
The Gamemaker, who initiated the butterfly collecting quest, awaits your judgment back at her marked location on the map. As a former victim herself, she created the game to hopefully lead someone to unravel the mystery and save others. Your decision—whether to punish her for her involvement or allow her a new start—will determine her fate. Opting for the latter will let her adopt a new name and life.
With your decision made, the Butterfly Collector faction will be dismantled, earning you 5,500 XP toward your next level.
