In *Kingdom Come: Deliverance 2*, missing some side tasks can lead to failing them without the chance to return, and finding Rosa’s book is one such task that you wouldn't want to miss. Here's a detailed guide on how to unlock and complete the "Rosa’s Book" side quest, ensuring you don't miss out on potential romance with Rosa.

Unlocking the Rosa’s Book Side Quest

To unlock "Rosa’s Book," you must first complete the "Via Argentum" quest and begin "Taking French Leave." After assisting the Ruthard family with Vavak, either through force or persuasion, you'll be directed to speak with Rosa. She'll inform you about a secret passage into Maleshov that can be used to rescue Hans. During this conversation, Rosa will ask you to retrieve a book for her while you're in Maleshov. Ask her about the book and promise to bring it back to her, which will officially start the "Rosa’s Book" side quest.

It's crucial to complete this quest during "Taking French Leave," as leaving with Hans without the book results in failing the quest and missing the chance to romance Rosa. Fortunately, the book is located on your route to Hans' room.

Upon entering Maleshov, head to the largest tower where Hans is located at the top. Use the stairs on the side of the building to enter. Once inside, you'll find another set of stairs and a kitchen nearby. Hide in the kitchen until the guards on the upper floor leave the tower.

Next, sneak up the stairs to a room where you'll find Lady Ofka sitting facing the fireplace. Sneak behind her, knock her out, and take the keys from her body, the podium, and the sword from the chest in her room. In this same room, to the right of the fireplace, you'll find Rosa's book in the window alcove. Pick it up, and your objective will update to return the book to Rosa.

While you're in the area, don't forget to grab another sword from the chest in the adjacent room. This will save you time later when you meet Hans, as you'll need two weapons for him and his surprise guest. After securing the book and the sword, proceed to the top level and unlock the door on the left to trigger a cutscene.

Following the cutscene, continue with "Taking French Leave." Even though Hans may not want to use the passageway, you can still work towards romancing him by choosing the dialogue option with a heart symbol, provided you also chose the heart option in Trosky. Sneak to the stables on the north side of Maleshov, dealing with guards as necessary, and signal Hans to ensure his safe passage to the stables.

After opening the gate and concluding the quest with another cutscene, return to Kuttenberg City and visit Ruthard Palace to deliver Rosa's book, completing the "Rosa’s Book" side quest in *Kingdom Come: Deliverance 2*.
