Marvel Studios has thrilled fans with the debut trailer for "The Fantastic Four: First Steps," promising one of the most anticipated superhero films of 2025. The trailer introduces viewers to the iconic team—Mr. Fantastic, Sue Storm, Johnny Storm, and The Thing—alongside the formidable villain, Galactus. Set to a 1960s retro-futuristic backdrop, the trailer opens with a dinner scene at the Baxter Building, hinting at an epic showdown in New York.
The footage showcases Ben Grimm's transformation into The Thing and features the team's robot companion, H.E.R.B.I.E., both engaging in a light-hearted cooking moment. We also catch a glimpse of Sue Storm using her powers as the Invisible Woman and Johnny Storm blazing through the skies as the Human Torch. However, Reed Richards' stretchy abilities remain unseen in this teaser.
An exciting highlight is the brief appearance of John Malkovich, rumored to portray Ivan Kragoff, also known as the Red Ghost. Marvel premiered the trailer at the U.S. Space & Rocket Center in Huntsville, Alabama, where stars Pedro Pascal, Vanessa Kirby, Joseph Quinn, and Ebon Moss-Bachrach met with enthusiastic fans.
Scheduled for release on July 25, 2025, "The Fantastic Four: First Steps" also stars Ralph Ineson as Galactus and Julia Garner as Silver Surfer, with Paul Walter Hauser, Natasha Lyonne, and Sarah Niles rounding out the cast. The film is directed by Matt Shakman and produced by Marvel Studios' head, Kevin Feige.

Here’s the official synopsis for "The Fantastic Four: First Steps":
Set against the vibrant backdrop of a 1960s-inspired, retro-futuristic world, Marvel Studios’ The Fantastic Four: First Steps introduces Marvel’s First Family — Reed Richards/Mister Fantastic (Pedro Pascal), Sue Storm/Invisible Woman (Vanessa Kirby), Johnny Storm/Human Torch (Joseph Quinn) and Ben Grimm/The Thing (Ebon Moss-Bachrach) as they face their most daunting challenge yet. Forced to balance their roles as heroes with the strength of their family bond, they must defend Earth from a ravenous space god called Galactus (Ralph Ineson) and his enigmatic Herald, Silver Surfer (Julia Garner). And if Galactus’ plan to devour the entire planet and everyone on it weren’t bad enough, it suddenly gets very personal.
Speculation is rife among fans that Robert Downey Jr. might return to the MCU as the iconic villain Doctor Doom, either as a supporting character or in a post-credits scene. Kevin Feige has confirmed that the Fantastic Four will play roles in both "Avengers: Doomsday" and "Avengers: Secret Wars," further heightening anticipation for their cinematic journey.
