In *Monster Hunter Wilds*, slaying and capturing monsters is just part of the adventure. To craft and upgrade your armor and weapons, you'll need to gather materials like Lightcrystals. Here’s your guide on how to effectively farm Lightcrystals in *Monster Hunter Wilds*.
Monster Hunter Wilds Lightcrystal Farming Locations
Lightcrystals are found at Mining Outcrops scattered throughout the game. Keep in mind, the drop rate is random, so patience is key when farming these valuable resources. Here are the prime spots for Lightcrystal mining:
- Windward Plains: Areas 1, 2, 3, 7, 9, 10, 17
- Oilwell Basin: Areas 4, 6, 7
- Iceshard Cliffs: Areas 8, 16
- Ruins of Wyveria: Area 5
After you've mined an outcrop, it will take approximately 15 to 20 minutes to respawn. Use this time to explore other areas and gather different resources before returning to continue your Lightcrystal hunt.
How to Use Lightcrystals
Once you've collected enough Lightcrystals, head back to Gemma at Base Camp. Here, you can use these crystals to forge or upgrade various pieces of equipment. Below is a list of items you can craft with Lightcrystals:
- Guild Knight Sabers I
- Dragon Perforator II
- Dual Hatchets II
- Triple Bayonet II
- Iron Assault II
- Iron Gale II

- Iron Accelerator II
- Hyperguard II
- Buster Sword II
- Iron Hammer II
- Metal Bagpipe II

While many of these items are useful, be aware that most, except for the Thunder Charm, may be quickly outclassed by better gear. Keep an eye out for upgrades as you progress in the game.
