Jack Quaid Eyes Bioshock Role Amid Max Payne Comparisons in Novocaine

Jack Quaid, star of *The Boys*, recently expressed his enthusiasm for appearing in a *BioShock* movie, citing it as one of his all-time favorite video games. During a Reddit AMA promoting his new film, *Novocaine*, Quaid highlighted the game's rich lore as a perfect candidate for adaptation into a movie or TV series. "I would actually love to be in a live-action adaptation of *BioShock* - one of my favorite games of all time," he stated. "I think there's such a rich lore to that game that could be explored in a TV or movie adaptation."

However, the likelihood of a *BioShock* movie coming to fruition remains uncertain. In July of last year, producer Roy Lee mentioned that the project had undergone a "reconfiguration" due to leadership changes at Netflix, resulting in a more personal and budget-conscious film. "The new regime has lowered the budgets," Lee explained. "So we’re doing a much smaller version. It’s going to be a more personal point of view, as opposed to a grander, big project." Despite these changes, *Hunger Games* director Francis Lawrence remains attached to direct the film, though plot details are still under wraps.

Quaid's comments also drew attention to his striking resemblance to the video game character Max Payne, whose likeness is based on Remedy writer Sam Lake. Fans have noticed similarities between Quaid's role in *Novocaine* and Max Payne, sparking discussions online. Quaid admitted to the resemblance but confessed to being less familiar with *Max Payne*, stating, "I've seen people say that I look like Max Payne, and when I've looked at the box art, even I did a double-take. I love Rockstar's games, but unfortunately I've never played that one - it's next on the list, for sure."

Beyond *BioShock*, Quaid revealed his passion for FromSoftware games, particularly enjoying the challenging nature of titles like *Bloodborne* and *Elden Ring*. "I'm a huge video game nerd," he shared. "And lately I've been diving headfirst into the FromSoftware library. I beat *Bloodborne*, then I beat *Sekiro*, and now I'm going full boar into *Elden Ring*. Actually, the thing I use Reddit the most for is tips and tricks on beating Fromsoft's bosses. I love how challenging the games are - it took me a while to get into them, but now I'm obsessed."
