Activists have targeted the upcoming Kingdom Come Deliverance 2 following the discovery of in-game subpoenas. A campaign to cancel the project has been launched.
Kingdom Come Deliverance 2 has become a target for activists, including those described as "agenda-driven," like Grummz. Online reports of the game's ban in Saudi Arabia fueled speculation about its content and alleged "progressive" themes.
The developers have faced online attacks and calls for a boycott. Efforts to cancel the game and discourage player support have been made.
Warhorse Studios' PR manager, Tobias Stolz-Zwilling, addressed the controversy, urging the public to trust the developers and avoid believing unsubstantiated online claims.
Stolz-Zwilling confirmed that review codes would be distributed "in the coming days" following the game's gold master status achieved in early December. These codes are expected to be released four weeks prior to launch, allowing streamers and reviewers ample time to prepare their content.
Interestingly, initial "final previews," based on review copies, are anticipated to surface just a week after the review codes are distributed.
