Merchant Tamao

Merchant Tamao is involved in contraband and isn't subtle about his activities. Skip the intel-gathering and head straight to the Yamashiro region. Locate Kyoto, the sprawling city in the center, and find Honpoji Temple on the east side. From there, head west to find Tamao hiding in his brewery. The staff will reveal that he's refusing to come out. Catch his attention by smashing all the barrels in the courtyard, and he'll eventually confront you. Deal with him and move on to the next target.

Merchant Kanta

As you delve deeper into the Iron Hand questline, you'll find that not all merchants are willingly part of the syndicate. Merchant Kanta is one such case, located in the Mouth of Seta in the Omi region. You can choose to attack him or use the Observe mechanic to uncover vital intel that reveals he's being forced to work for the guild. Spare his life, and Kanta will eventually become a captain in Imai Sokun's merchant fleet.

Merchant Ginroku

Ginroku specializes in selling rare delicacies to the richest families around Miyazu Bay. Head to the Tamba region, where Miyazu Bay is located, and find him southwest of Miyazu Castle, across the bridge. You can choose to eliminate him for his involvement with the Iron Hand or search nearby huts for an important letter that allows him to escape your wrath. If spared, he'll work with the real House Imai and gain access to more affluent clients in Sakai Port.

Merchant Kin-no-suke

Merchant Kin-no-suke's displays of wealth are suspicious, as he hires bandits to steal from others to grow his business. Head to the city of Obama in Wakasa, just east of the Trading Port, to find him. He'll be surrounded by bodyguards, so handle them as you see fit. A quick smoke bomb and assassinations can be effective, ensuring Kin-no-suke meets his end.

Iron Hand

Finally, you'll locate the head of the syndicate, the Iron Hand, in a highly secure area. Prepare for a challenging fight to reach him. He's located in Tamba, specifically at Fukuchiyama Castle, near the center of the region. Approach from the south side of the castle walls to find him. Expect more resistance from him and the castle guards. It's best to pick off the guards one by one before confronting the Iron Hand. Once he's defeated, return to Imai Sokun to claim your rewards.
