Get Ready for Monster Hunter Wilds' Second Open Beta!
Missed the first Monster Hunter Wilds Open Beta? A second chance arrives in early February! This extended beta test offers returning players another opportunity to experience the game before its official launch on February 28th, and introduces exciting new content.
Hunt a New Monster!
Producer Ryozo Tsujimoto announced the second Open Beta Test on the official Monster Hunter YouTube channel. The beta will run in two sessions: February 6th-9th and February 13th-16th, available on PC, PlayStation 5, and Xbox Series X|S.
This time around, hunters will face a new challenge: Gypceros, a familiar foe from previous Monster Hunter titles. Character data from the first beta can be carried over and transferred to the full game, although progress won't be saved. Participants receive in-game rewards: a Stuffed Felyne Teddy weapon charm and a valuable early-game item pack.
Tsujimoto explained the decision for a second beta, stating, "We heard from many of you that you missed the first beta, or wanted to play again." While recent community updates detailed planned improvements, these changes won't be included in the second beta as they are still under development.
Monster Hunter Wilds launches February 28th, 2025, on PC, PlayStation 5, and Xbox Series X|S. Prepare for the hunt!
