Battletoads/Double Dragon, Big Run, and More!
Prepare for a nostalgic gaming experience! Nintendo has unveiled four SNES classics from the early 90s, offering diverse gameplay: beat 'em up action, intense racing, challenging puzzles, and a unique dodgeball competition.
First, the legendary mashup: Battletoads/Double Dragon. This iconic title unites the brawling Battletoads and the Double Dragon brothers in a fight against the Dark Queen and her Shadow Warriors. Choose from five playable characters: Billy and Jimmy Lee (Double Dragon) and the amphibian trio Zitz, Pimple, and Rash (Battletoads).
Originally released on NES in June 1993, then ported to SNES in December 1993, this is a long-awaited re-release.
Next, dive into the dodgeball arena with Kunio-kun no Dodgeball da yo Zen’in Shūgō! (Super Dodgeball in the West). Featuring Kunio-kun from the River City series, compete against global rivals in various exciting courts, each with unique challenges.
Initially launched for Super Famicom in August 1993.
Puzzle enthusiasts will enjoy Cosmo Gang the Puzzle. Similar to Tetris and Puyo Puyo, strategically clear lines of containers and Cosmos to score points. Three modes are available: 1P Mode (solo high score chase), VS Mode (head-to-head competition), and 100 Stage Mode (increasing difficulty). Line up containers horizontally and use blue orbs to remove Cosmos.
Initially released in arcades (1992), then Super Famicom (1993), it's seen re-releases on Wii, Wii U, Nintendo Switch, and PlayStation 4.
