Path of Exile 2 is brimming with quests, but some remain hidden from the quest log. This guide focuses on the five Golden Idols scattered throughout Act 3 – unique quest items that don't trigger a traditional quest but offer a substantial gold reward.
Unlike typical quest items, collecting Golden Idols doesn't update your quest log. Instead of progressing a narrative, these idols are valuable trade goods.
Locating the Golden Idols
After completing the Ziggurat Encampment and traveling through a time portal, you'll find yourself in Utzaal, the once-magnificent Vaal city. Explore Utzaal and the connected area, Aggorat, to discover these hidden treasures. They aren't dropped by enemies; instead, they're found on the ground or pedestals, often in secluded chambers.

Cashing In Your Discoveries
Once you've collected a Golden Idol, return to Oswald in the northern part of the Ziggurat Encampment. He's your buyer! Each idol fetches a hefty price:
- Golden Idol: 500 Gold
- Grand Idol: 1000 Gold
- Glorious Idol: 1500 Gold
- Elegant Idol: 1000 Gold
- Exceptional Idol: 1500 Gold
Finding all five idols earns you a total of 6000 gold. Since they occupy inventory space and serve only as valuable commodities, it's best to sell them immediately after discovery to maximize your bag space. Happy hunting!
