Pokémon GO Fest 2025: A Global Celebration
The Pokémon GO Fest 2025 will be a three-day extravaganza taking place across three global cities in June 2025. Mark your calendars!
- Osaka, Japan: May 29 - June 1
- Jersey City, New Jersey, USA: June 6 - June 8
- Paris, France: June 13 - June 15

This annual event promises exclusive items, enhanced gameplay, and exciting bonuses for trainers worldwide. In-person events offer unique experiences, including city-specific features and special merchandise.
A key attraction is the chance to encounter rare Pokémon unavailable through standard gameplay. Think along the lines of Dusk Mane Necrozma, Dawn Wings Necrozma, and Marshadow (seen in 2024). Shiny Pokémon will also have increased appearance rates.
In-person attendees can look forward to exclusive merchandise, themed sets, community hubs, and team lounges for socializing with fellow trainers.
Two More Pokémon GO Events This January!
Beyond the GO Fest announcement, Niantic revealed two additional events for January 2025:
Fashion Week: Taken Over (January 15-19, 2025): Rescue Shadow Palkia from Team GO Rocket and Giovanni! Shroodle and Grafaiai debut, hatching from 12 km Eggs. Other Shadow Pokémon, like Snivy and Tepig, will also appear. Keep an eye out for a fashionable Croagunk!
Shadow Raid Day (January 19, 2025): Challenge Five-Star Shadow Raids to capture Shadow Ho-Oh! A $5 ticket grants eight Raid Passes, increased Rare Candy XL chances, 2x Stardust, and 50% more XP from Raids. Shiny Ho-Oh has increased odds, and lucky trainers can teach their Ho-Oh the signature move, Sacred Fire.
