Pokémon GO enthusiasts know the thrill of weekly events, and one of the highlights is the Spotlight Hour, which occurs every Tuesday. This event spotlights a different Pokémon each week, offering players unique opportunities to earn rewards and possibly encounter the elusive Shiny version of the featured Pokémon. Moreover, players can leverage this event to fully evolve the spotlighted Pokémon by transferring extra catches for bonus candies.
Roselia Spotlight Hour Guide
This week's Spotlight Hour is set for January 14th, 2025, from 6:00 PM to 7:00 PM local time. Prepare for this event by stocking up on berries, Pokéballs, and incense to maximize your participation. The star of the hour is Roselia, and players can enjoy a x2 Catch XP bonus, accelerating their XP gains during the event.
Roselia, a Grass and Poison-type Pokémon from the Hoenn region (Generation 3), is identified by the number #0315. It boasts a maximum Combat Power of 2114 CP, with 186 Attack and 131 Defense stats. Roselia is part of an evolutionary chain starting with Budew evolving into Roselia with 25 Candies, and then to Roserade with 100 Candies and a Sinnoh Stone.
Catching Roselia during the Spotlight Hour rewards players with three candies and 100 Stardust per catch. Roselia can be traded within Pokémon GO and is also transferable to Pokémon Home. As a Grass and Poison-type, Roselia is vulnerable to Fire, Flying, Ice, and Psychic-type attacks, taking 160% more damage from these. Conversely, it resists Electric, Fairy, Fighting, and Water-type attacks, receiving 63% reduced damage, with Grass-type attacks causing the least damage at 39% reduction. The optimal moveset for Roselia is Poison Jab and Sludge Bomb, delivering 10.96 DPS and 99.91 TDO, with performance enhanced in Cloudy weather conditions.
A Shiny version of Roselia is available during this event, distinguished by its brighter green body and purple and black roses. To increase your chances of encountering a Shiny Roselia, make sure to use incense and have berries ready to secure a catch if one appears.
