Pokémon Home version 3.2.2 introduces Shiny Keldeo and Shiny Meltan, but obtaining them requires completing specific Pokédex entries. While challenging, acquiring Shiny Keldeo is particularly rewarding, as it was previously unobtainable legitimately and Shiny-locked.
Once acquired in Pokémon Home, these Shiny Pokémon can be transferred to other compatible Pokémon games linked to your account.
How to Get Shiny Keldeo in Pokémon Home

To obtain Shiny Keldeo, you must complete the Galar Pokédex in Pokémon Sword & Shield, including entries from the Isle of Armor and Crown Tundra DLCs. Crucially, all Pokémon must possess the Galar origin mark—a slanted Poké Ball logo above their stats—indicating they originated from Sword & Shield or its DLC. Simply completing the Pokédexes in Sword & Shield isn't sufficient.
After completing the Pokédexes, select the three-line menu icon, then "Mystery Gift" to claim Shiny Keldeo. There's no deadline for claiming it.
How to Get Shiny Meltan in Pokémon Home
Similarly, acquiring Shiny Meltan requires completing the Kanto Pokédex in Pokémon Home using Pokémon marked with the Let's Go marker (a Pikachu silhouette above their stats) from Pokémon Let's Go Pikachu & Eevee. Once complete, claim Shiny Meltan via the Mystery Gift option. There's no deadline for claiming Shiny Meltan either.
Troubleshooting Pokédex Registration Issues
Some mobile users experience Pokédex registration problems. To resolve this, clear your Pokémon Home app cache:
- Open the app and select the three-line menu icon in the top-right corner.
- Choose "Clear Cache."
- Confirm by tapping "OK." A confirmation message will appear.
This should resolve most registration issues.
Now that you know how to obtain Shiny Keldeo and Shiny Meltan, you can continue your Pokémon journey!
