Top Arceus Ex Decks for Pokemon TCG Pocket

The God of all Pokémon, Arceus, has made a grand entrance into *Pokémon TCG Pocket* early in the game's lifespan, bringing with it a host of Pokémon that perfectly synergize with its abilities. Here's a rundown of the best Arceus Ex decks you can build in *Pokémon TCG Pocket*.

Best Arceus Ex Decks in Pokémon TCG Pocket

Arceus Ex boasts an ability that renders it immune to debilitating status conditions like Sleep and Confused. Its formidable Ultimate Force attack deals 70 damage plus an additional 20 for each benched Pokémon, all for the cost of 3 Colorless energy. Fully powered, Arceus Ex can deliver a whopping 130 damage.

Arceus Ex also synergizes with eight different Pokémon from the Triumphant Light expansion pack, each with a unique "link" ability that activates when an Arceus Ex or regular Arceus is in play:

  • Carnivine (Power Link)
  • Heatran (Speed Link)
  • Abomasnow (Vigor Link)
  • Raichu (Resilience Link)
  • Rotom (Speed Link)
  • Tyranitar (Power Link)
  • Crobat (Cunning Link)
  • Magnezone (Resilience Link)

Among these, Crobat, Magnezone, and Heatran stand out as the most potent. Let's dive into an Arceus Ex deck for each.

Crobat (Dark Energy)

  • 2x Arceus Ex
  • 2x Zubat (Triumphant Light)
  • 2x Golbat (Genetic Apex)
  • 2x Crobat
  • 1x Spiritomb
  • 1x Farfetch’d
  • 2x Professor’s Research
  • 2x Dawn
  • 2x Cyrus
  • 2x Poke Ball
  • 2x Pokemon Communication

This deck features two primary attackers: Crobat and Arceus Ex. With an Arceus Ex in play, Crobat can deal 30 damage to your opponent’s Active Pokémon even from the bench. Additionally, it hits for 50 damage with just one Dark energy, making it a perfect partner for Arceus Ex, which you'll want to power up with three Colorless energy.

With Arceus Ex fully powered on the bench, you can retreat Crobat into it for free, as it has no retreat cost, allowing you to hit for 130 damage with a full bench. Farfetch’d adds some pressure, while Spiritomb spreads damage to your opponent’s bench, setting them up for knockouts with Cyrus.

Dialga Ex/Magnezone (Metal Energy)

  • 2x Arceus Ex
  • 2x Dialga Ex
  • 2x Magnemite (Triumphant Light)
  • 2x Magneton (Genetic Apex)
  • 1x Magnezone (Triumphant Light)
  • 1x Magnezone (Genetic Apex)
  • 1x Skarmory
  • 2x Professor’s Research
  • 2x Leaf
  • 2x Giant’s Cape
  • 1x Rocky Helmet
  • 2x Poke Ball

In this deck, Arceus Ex is the primary attacker, with both versions of Magnezone serving as backups. The Triumphant Light Magnezone takes -30 damage when Arceus Ex is around, while the Genetic Apex version deals 110 damage with one condition – you must use Magneton’s Volt Charge ability at least once before evolving. Note that you cannot attach Metal energy to the Genetic Apex Magneton as it's Electric, so timing your evolution is crucial.

To maximize Arceus Ex's damage output, you'll need a full bench. Skarmory, along with 2x Giant’s Cape and a single Rocky Helmet, helps achieve this. The Giant’s Capes will protect your Dialga Ex and Arceus Ex from big hits while powering up Skarmory.

Heatran (Fire Energy)

  • 2x Arceus Ex
  • 2x Heatran (Triumphant Light)
  • 2x Ponyta (Mythical Island)
  • 2x Rapidash (Genetic Apex)
  • 1x Farfetch’d
  • 2x Professor’s Research
  • 1x Blaine
  • 1x Cyrus
  • 1x Dawn
  • 2x Giant’s Cape
  • 2x Poke Ball
  • 2x X Speed

This deck is a more aggressive Fire-type strategy, similar to the Ninetails Blaine deck that has been popular since the launch of *Pokémon TCG Pocket*. You'll want to pressure your opponent early with Heatran, Rapidash, and Farfetch’d, which require minimal energy to become effective, while powering up your Arceus Ex on the bench. Giant’s Cape helps keep Heatran alive and pushes Arceus Ex above the critical 150 HP threshold.

With Arceus Ex in play, Heatran can retreat for free, allowing you to swap Pokémon with minimal energy cost. Its Ragin’ Fury attack deals 80 damage for two Fire energy if it's been damaged; otherwise, it hits for 40, which can still be impactful early in a match.

As the meta evolves, more strategies involving Arceus Ex will undoubtedly emerge. For now, these are the top decks to leverage the legendary Pokémon's power in *Pokémon TCG Pocket*.
