Android users rejoice! Genshin Impact is finally getting controller support! The long-awaited feature arrives with Version 5.5, launching March 26th, 2025. This is great news, especially considering iOS users gained this functionality back in 2021.
When Will Genshin Impact Get Controller Support on Android?
Starting March 26th, 2025, you can ditch the touchscreen and explore Teyvat with a controller! Version 5.5 will officially support the DualShock 4, DualSense, Xbox Wireless Controller, and Xbox Elite Wireless Controller Series 2 (all Bluetooth-enabled).
Beyond controller support, Version 5.5 boasts several quality-of-life improvements. Cross-scene quest tracking lets you seamlessly track quests across different areas—simply open your map and teleport directly to your objective. Boss guides are getting an overhaul to better assist new players in understanding enemy mechanics. Further optimizations are planned for the Artifact system, Serenitea Pot, and Mail system; full details will be revealed during the Special Program Announcement on March 14th.
