Mau Mau, a German card game, is a variation of Crazy Eights. Played with a standard 32-card deck, each player receives a starting hand of five or six cards. The objective is to be the first player to empty their hand. Turns proceed sequentially, with each player needing to match either the suit or rank of the previously played card. Special cards add strategic depth; a seven compels the next player to draw two cards, an eight skips their turn, and a jack allows placement on any card, granting the player the privilege of choosing the subsequent suit.
