Just one month following its release and inclusion on Game Pass, Obsidian and Xbox Game Studios have released an exciting new trailer for Avowed. This trailer not only celebrates the game but also features a compilation of glowing reviews and quotes from gaming journalists, underscoring the action-RPG's warm reception among critics.
The latest update introduces support for DLSS 4, which includes Multi Frame Generation, Super Resolution, and DLAA. These cutting-edge technologies significantly enhance the game's performance, with NVIDIA showcasing up to a threefold boost in frame rates at maximum 4K settings, achieving speeds of up to 340 FPS. Additionally, developers have hinted at forthcoming announcements regarding the game’s future support and roadmap, which are expected in the coming weeks.
This update goes beyond technical enhancements to enrich the player experience. Players will now gain an extra talent point every five levels, and those who have already advanced will automatically receive their points when they load the game. For keyboard and mouse users, a new feature allows toggling between walking and running, improving gameplay control. Furthermore, an accessibility option has been added, enabling larger font sizes in documents, guides, and other in-game text, making the game more user-friendly.
While Avowed did not leave critics completely speechless, it has still earned robust reviews. Digital Foundry went as far as to call the game a technical "triumph," cementing its status as a notable achievement from Obsidian.
