Delta Force, previously known as Delta Force: Hawk Ops, is now open for pre-registration on iOS and Android. This Tencent-developed title, launching late January 2025, marks a significant entry into the modern military shooter market, blending diverse missions and modes with a tactical gameplay focus.
The Delta Force franchise, a cornerstone of FPS gaming predating Call of Duty, is renowned for its realistic combat, advanced gadgets, and authentic weaponry. Level Infinite's revival stays true to this legacy. The game features a Warfare mode offering large-scale battles reminiscent of Battlefield, and an Operations mode embracing the extraction shooter genre. A single-player campaign, inspired by the Battle of Mogadishu and the film Black Hawk Down, is also planned for 2025.
Addressing Cheating Concerns
Despite high anticipation, Delta Force has faced criticism regarding its anti-cheat measures. Tencent's approach, while aggressive, has drawn negative feedback. While their G.T.I. Security team is dedicated to combating cheating, the PC version's restrictions on software and hardware have been met with disapproval.
Although the mobile platform presents a reduced risk of cheating compared to PC, this controversy might still impact the game's reception. However, the mobile version's potential remains high.
