Instead, it boosts the power of your non-elemental attacks, which in turn accelerates the Abductor's stagger rate. When the stagger meter, though invisible, reaches its threshold, the Abductor will stagger, fall, or react uniquely, creating a window for you to deal substantial damage.
The stagger effect can be a double-edged sword. In offline mode, you can prepare a powerful attack during this window.
