This digital application provides swift access to the scholarly works and biographies of prominent figures within a specific religious sect.
In the name of Allah, the Most Gracious, the Most Merciful
Technological advancements have become indispensable in modern life. To keep pace with this progress and the global exchange of culture, while preserving its rich scholarly heritage and expanding its reach, this application was developed. The Heritage Revival Center at the al-Abbas's shrines houses a significant collection, but its immense value has not been fully realized in print form, despite individual efforts to publish certain volumes.
This application presents this invaluable collection in a digital format, serving both specialists and those interested in the sect's history. It provides easy access to the biographies of its scholars and prominent members, facilitating research and discovery.
The application offers the book in three formats:
- A text format closely mirroring the original publication.
- A digital version of the printed book.
- A unique feature: a digital image of the author's handwritten manuscript. This allows users to verify potential typographical errors, addressing inconsistencies in previously published versions.
Despite its simplicity, this application offers several key advantages for researchers:
- Separate access to each of the three book versions.
- Comprehensive search capabilities within the entire encyclopedia or specific sections (standard and advanced search).
- Text copying and sharing functionality.
- Printing capabilities for all three formats.
- Simultaneous viewing of text and printed versions, with adjustable zoom and page linking.
- Indexes of translators' names (per volume and for the entire encyclopedia), with searchable functionality.
- Ability to add pages to favorites (all three formats).
- Ability to add notes and comments to pages (all three formats).
In closing, we express our gratitude to all those who contributed to this project: Sheikh Agha Buzurk al-Tharani, for his meticulous typesetting and printing work; those who preserved and shared the handwritten manuscript; and the team who developed this application. May God reward them all for their efforts.
